A Family Formula for Winning

SA Marzec Sen++/ (Mikey) and Travis Mahoney jumped into fame at the
Arabian Youth Nationals by winning the Reserve Championship in the
Working Hunter, JTR 17 and under championship finals class, on
Saturday, July 30, 2005. It was a family affair, with mom,
Michelle, providing the training and strategy to bring Mikey to a
national level in just four months, and younger brother Cody
scoring superbly on the flat work in the class. And let’s not
forget Dad (Dave) who safely transported the horses to and from
Albuquerque. Every young rider with the Mahoney family won
a Top Ten or more. Way to go!

Mikey’s Award Announced

The Arabian Horse Association has just announced that SA Marzec Sen
(a.k.a. Mikey) has now received the prestigious Legion of Supreme Honor
and Legion of Merit Awards. He now proudly carries “++/” after
his name. He added to his collection of performance points with
wins in Working Hunter and Sport Horse Show Hack.

In this photo he is shown by Anne Santer.

Zzeus and Mikey Are 1st and 2nd

In a rivalry that goes back 4 years, Zzeus S A++/ and SA Marzec Sen++
(Mikey) have competed against each other many times, including Sport
Horse Nationals. While Mikey has twice been Sport Horse Champion
Stallion in Hand at Region 2, Zzeus was the Region 2 Champion in 2005, and Mikey was the Reserve Champion. But with scores
of 97 and 96, who can complain?

Zzeus Wins Legion of Merit and Legion of Supreme Honor

Zzeus S A, Santer Arabian’s youngest stallion, received
AHA’s Legion of Merit plaque before leaving to compete in Region 2,
signified by adding ++ after his name. While checking his
qualifications to compete in First Level dressage, his owners noticed a
third symbol, /, after his name. Upon their return home, the
Arabian Horse Association had sent a letter verifying that he has won
both the Legion of Merit and the Legion of Supreme Honor, all points
earned in Sport Horse competition. Zzeus S A / shown in hand at Region 2 by Tammy Bowles.
“>
